The Reno-area hotels designated for the Intel ISEF 2009 are the Grand Sierra Resort, which will serve as the 2009 "headquarters hotel", and the Peppermill. Reno-Sparks Convention Center

Intel ISEF 2009 will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, located at 4590 S. Virginia Street in Reno and featuring more than 500,000 square feet of exhibition and meeting space. The facility is operated by the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority which serves as a source for visitors’ information about Reno-Tahoe, America’s Adventure Place.

Getting to Reno

The Reno area is serviced by the Reno-Tahoe Airport (RNO) and Amtrak passenger train service.

Other local attractions

Virginia City - Famous for its silver mines, Virginia City is just 25 miles from Reno. Come explore a slice of Nevada’s mining past, visit one of the many museums in town, or go shopping on C street—the quaint main street, complete with wooden boardwalks!

Carson City - The capital of Nevada, Carson City lies approximately 30 miles to the south. Nevada’s State museum is located in Carson City, and you can explore the capital as well.

Lake Tahoe - Famous for its clear blue waters and sunny skies, Lake Tahoe is about 35 miles from Reno by way of the scenic Mount Rose corridor. With part of the lake in Nevada and part in California, Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the world. There are many towns to explore along the shores of this jewel of the Sierra.
